Guild Rules

Guild Rules

  • Members of Heroes Of Warcraft are always expected to abide by the rules set forth. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action taken by the officers that can include warning, demotion, suspension, or banishment from the guild. All disciplinary actions can be appealed by the infracting member, however after the appeal all actions are final.
  • This is a relaxed raiding guild. Maintaining "relaxed" is a core goal of the guild leadership, but maintaining "raiding" is equally important. With that in mind, the following principles should be upheld by all guild members:
  • Be courteous to all players, regardless if they are fellow guild members, allies, or enemies. Insulting other players (guild member or otherwise) reflects badly upon the guild and will not be tolerated in any form. Respect is earned, courtesy must be given in order to maintain a friendly guild.
  • All guild members are expected to act maturely. You can be mature and still have fun.
  • Be cautious with your language. Occasional swearing is likely to occur in guild, group and Ventrilo chat but is strongly discouraged; however should be completely curtailed in public. Also, be mindful of the ages and temperaments of other guild and group members before using any language which might offend.
  • Guild members are to always positively represent the guild. Professional behaviour reflects well on the guild, terrible behaviour reflects badly, and a bad reputation spreads faster than a good one.
  • The Guild Bank and its contents are there to provide materials to those who contribute to the guild bank. Do not ask for materials if you do not contribute and or do not plan to do so. Refusal often offends.
  • Accounts that have not been active for a period of 3 months or more will be removed from the guild unless specifically arranged.
  • Begging will not be tolerated. Just because other players are a higher level than you, does not mean they can always afford to help you. If you need something, kindly ask in guild chat, if someone can help you, they will, if not, do not keep asking.
  • No Cheating, Hacking, or Exploiting. If anyone is found to be in breach of any game policies you will be reported to Blizzard and removed from the Guild. No second chance.

Raid Rules

  • Even though we don't have the raiding schedule of a hardcore guild, don't be lulled into thinking that we don't take raiding seriously. Because we've made the choice of raiding approximately 2-3 days a week, we intend to make the most of the time. That means bring your game face and be ready to play.
  • Ventrilo is a must for all raids even if you just connect to listen instructions. Ventrilo is available HERE
  • If you have a rank of Raider we expect you'll be at every scheduled raid unless you tell us otherwise. Please use the Guild Calendar invites let us know if you won't be able to attend a raid.
  • Listen to the raid leader at all times and follow instructions. Friendly chatter is fine between pulls but please keep it to a minimum when we're trying to give instructions.
  • Raid invites will be determined by attendance and class balance. Invites will start 10 minutes prior to the posted start time and we will not hold spots for people not on-line prior to starting unless there is a specific need that cannot be filled by someone else already on-line. If there are not enough of those of guild Raiders accepted to fill a raid, we'll ask if those of Member rank are interested in joining us if it doesn't upset the class balance.
  • You are expected to be repaired and stocked with reagents etc. Fish Feasts will be provided but if you prefer your own food please bring it. Flasks will usually be available but please bring your own if you can. If you are given a flask please make a donation of 20g to the guild bank to cover expenses.
  • Raiders should declare a main character and spec. for raiding purposes. Loot will be rolled upon Main Spec first, followed by Offspec. Unwanted items will be disenchanted and materials placed in the Guild Bank.
  • Do not get saved to any 10 MAN instances, we do not always know which instance we are running in advance as decisions may need to be made based on player ability and class balance at the time.
  • Sometimes we may need to call a raid if we can't fill a raid for whatever reason. We'll wait for a period of no more than 15 minutes past the scheduled start of the raid to make a decision so we don't waste people's time.
